HSBC is a global brand and rolled out a new Premier concept which required a high quality furniture package for its new branches in the UK. HSBC has a long heritage of working with the people from Birley Manufacturing and the company was successful in securing preferred supplier status for this latest project.
From designs approved by the client the company has used value engineered initiatives to improve the cost effectiveness of the product whilst ensuring that the product retains it high quality specification.
The use of environmentally friendly materials throughout the process such as zero formaldehyde MDF and FSC approved timber has met both HSBC's and Birley's commitment to a minimised carbon footprint.
A full range of products was required including discovery table, customer service desks, reception desks, credenza units and board room tables. Even ergonomic cashier counters built to withstand stringent ballistic standards were created, value engineered and modularised for easy installation.
All the units from the initial cutting on our CNC machines, to staining, veneering, lacquering and assembly were all manufactured in-house at our Sheffield factory to a forward order schedule and then delivered and installed.
